Some of us have been out on the front lines of this issue pushing shrooms on the community. It’s time our efforts were decriminalized, and celebrated.

So far I have seen a lot of support for psilocybin in the medical field for mental health. I have not read papers though maybe i could delve into that.. but there are a mounting number of claims where PTSD patients seem to find releif from proper dosage combined with theraputic help. Basically you get high while a therapist works your brain with specific dialogue and instructions.. hopefully its something that works, so many people suffer from mental disorders due to shitty traumas. I know several, and its not fun for them or their families.

The talk therapy while medicated approach is used with MDMA treatment. People still their guts on MDMA

The psilocybin is different. Yes you have a clinician present but that's more to be tether to reality for making the person feel safe and secure through the experience which is gripping and intense. There's no effective dialogue taking place when someone in on a heroic dose of mushrooms unless they are the only ones doing the talking, which usually unintelligible. The talk therapy comes after the person has gone through the experience, helping them recall and digest the insights.

In my experience heavy heavy doses of shrooms are like a bullet train to the truth centers of your own soul and you're on that ride whether you like it or not. Your own structures of self-lies and bullshit are completely shattered and there's no escape from looking in the mirror naked.

Dig this. Huge steps in the right direction.

Some of my best memories (of course not all or even most of them, but you get my point) involved decently large doses of shrooms or acid.

You do more harm to the individual and to the community be the actions you take to enforce the criminalization of the drug than the drug user could ever do by taking the drug.

Psychedelics in particular also threaten the mechanisms of influence and power because anyone who does them participates less and less things like mindless consumerism and they begin to ask better questions about why they are participating in bullshit that doesn't make them happier or healthier. That doesn't play well with the current societal model.

I’m in my 30’s and haven’t taken any since I was about 22. That said, I had probably a dozen trips in a few year period and some of those were incredible moments in time.

I don’t know how I’d do with them at this age, it took certain situations for me to have a comfortable time, but I’ll never discourage someone from taking mushrooms if they want to.

It truly can reset your brain and make you realize what is and isn’t important. At least after. That 5ish hours during is a whole different world LOL

Cancer, dementia, low testosterone and sperm, depression, etc.

But the good news is that if you watch TV on any given day there's a lot of pills they tell you about that will treat all of those issues. Aren't they nice to help us with that?

Man, I’ve done a ton of L with my girl but the only time we’ve done a significant amount of mushies together she kept playing Joni Mitchell songs and it was really just terribly awful
