Another shooting reported at LAX airport. Found out through twitter of all places from the host of the show Mythbusters (Tory). He is there at the airport when it happened.

WTF is wrong with people. Still waiting for more details. Supposedly there were more than 1 gunman and assault rifles. Of course this happening withing the last 20 min neither of those are confirmed.

If you live in the LA area or have family at that airport by chance hope they are safe.

whoa, my friends fiance was supposed to arrive at LAX this morning, I will call him now and make they're ok.

Apparently the shooting was at Terminal 3. There is a reporter for Fox Sports (@foxsportsreiter) that is live tweeting what he knows and sees right now. Still haven't heard anything official though from another news source.

EDIT: According to ABC 7 Los Angeles terminal 3 serves Allegiant Air, Frontier, JetBlue, Spirit and Virgin America. Though I've seen other reports that say it was terminal 2 but most say it was terminal 3. Hope your guys family is safe.

Strict guns laws working

My friend's flight today got cancelled, as well as others, and got rerouted to John Wayne Airport in Orange County instead.

I'm supposed to bring my sister to LAX next Thursday, I hope it'll be okay by then.

What's even more sickening is this event doesn't even raise an emotion from me. I feel like I just saw a commercial for digiornos.

Like, "oh yeah? That's interesting" then change the channel.

This shit is getting so frequent it's not even a big deal anymore. Just short of Somalia, what other countries do people live in where they just get numb to this type of thing?

My boss had a friend in the terminal with her 3 year old daughter waiting for a flight that had been delayed by weather. She heard the gunshots, everyone hit the ground, then they all got ushered off. When I left the office at 4:30 the people who had been in Terminal 3 were still there. Among others, not only Tory but Grant from Mythbusters was there, along with James Franco and one of the Jonas brothers. My commute was seriously screwed up, the airport was still closed down at 6 pm, as were all the surface streets surrounding the airport.

BTW, the shooter was ID'd as Paul Ciancia. Apparently he had sent a text to his brother earlier in the day saying he was depressed and felt like committing suicide. His father, who lives out of state, called the cops but the cops didn't find the shooter when they went to check on him at his apartment; seems like he was at the airport at the time. Shooter also left some note with anti-government language. The whole situation sucks.

My friend was flying back to NYC this morning and his flight was delayed all day / was stuck in the airport...



I smell conspiracy with all these shootings imho... so lame either way.
