Our political problem stems from the fact that we've got people that share two frightening qualities in huge proportions in our government at all levels.

They're ideologues.

They're stupid as fuck.

I think one of the biggest problems we have in politics is that once someone becomes a politician, they consider themselves gauranteed to be set for life, and for the most part it works out that way. So there's no reason for them to give a flying fuck about anyone or anything other than funneling money to themselves and their cohorts. And there's no oversight other than other people that are mostly concerned that cracking down on the other guy will ultimately affect thier own ability to keep sucking on the money teat.

And that's on all sides.
