They used to be pretty badass, but now they suck.

Are you referring to crash love, or just in general after Black Sails?

They did get pretty polished, but I still dig em. Miss the intensity though. Always thought their guitarist had a pretty cool vibe goin' on.

I think they started sucking after Sing the Sorrow (which is a masterpiece, but still kind of a departure from what I was used to hearing from them.)
I guess they've simply evolved, like most creative bands do.....it's just that I don't like what they've evolved into.

And, yeah, Jade Puget kills it on guitar.
Their first guitarist was pretty good too (can't remember his name).

I had a friend who was really into them in highschool. When they got really big/poppy a few years ago I always laughed to myself and thought that it must be driving that dude nuts.

They were one of my favorite bands during high school.

Wasn't really a fan of the direction they ultimately went but thats how it goes.
I'd prefer they did that rather than put out the same shit with a different name year after year.
