10 down, 15 to go

When I moved to CA almost 3 years ago (holy shit - did that go by fast) I stopped a fairly rigorous workout program and I was eating at restaurants a lot. Food is really good here! I have a weakness for Mexican.

Well, I ended up putting on about 20 lbs really fast. And if I was really picky I was maybe 5 lbs overweight when I moved here - but 5 is such a small amount I never thought about it.

So, since I traditionally take January off from drinking (a story for another post) I thought it'd be a good time to lose that weight that's been bugging me.

22 days into the month, I'm down 10 lbs! Just eating a lot less and not snacking and not drinking beer. No exercise bump to speak of.

I'm gonna re-start the gym thing in Feb once all the other New Year's resolution guys give it up and the gym isn't so crowded with noobs.

I'm one notch on my belt thinner and jeans that used to be a little tight are fitting better again. I'm aiming for the end of March to be back to a lean 185. I'm an even 6 feet tall btw.

TL-DNR: Went on diet, lost weight, half way home.

the little stuff makes a big difference. I've got a bit more to do, 15 down and 45 to go. I don't care if it sounds pussified, weight watchers works awesome for me. I can still eat stuff I want to, just have to be more cognisant of it. No real exercise regimen to speak of for me, either. Best of luck completing the rest of your goal.

Good work!

Hey, if wearing a Hello Kitty thong and painting my toenails crimson would work, I'd do it without shame.

Thats awesome man congrats. I'm doing the same just without the previous rigorous exercise lol. Lost 4 pounds in about a week already, of course its just water weight but its a start. Just eating a lot healthier and being more active. Doing 2 biggest loser competitions to motivate. 1 with my family and one with my friends.
