Unfortunately.
Our police force is brutal -- an officer was recently convicted of assaulting a citizen, then lying about it until a video came to light. Plenty of other assault and DUI charges too.
This cop gets that respect is a two-way street. Too many officers have the attitude they must be respected just because they wear a uniform. That bullshit may have flown in the '50s but not any more.
