Dota 2 game on Steam, free to play, any thoughts?

Been playing for about two weeks and it has the potential to take over my night 
Anyone here play it? It's a 5v5 multiplayer game, only one map, RTS style but with no base-building and you only control the "hero" that you pick at the start of the match (I think there are over 100 to choose from). Matches last around 45 minutes.
