The level of direct 'news' available through twitter is mind boggling.


No bias. No slants. Just up to the minute connectivity throughout the world.


Following the Egypt situation right now and thinking back years ago when news was slow to hit the states, only to wonder who tampered with the story.


Truly interesting social media. I don't use it for gossip or keeping up with bands/friends.

Yes, for that exact reason.

Facebook is your neighborhood. Twitter is the world in the moment.

I follow twitter mostly for sports.

The "news" aspect is certainly fascinating, but as the Boston bombing showed, you have no idea what's true, what's not. (Not that you do from actual news sources anymore all rushing to be first, but you know what I mean.)

Its pretty crazy what you can follow though.

I love the supermodel cat fights.

It's so cute when they try to spell.

Yeah I use it for the same shit. On my iPad I used Flipboard to browse twitter and it was great.

It's pretty graphic right now.


There is a picture of Muslims banding together to save Christians which floored me. Then the dead sky news cameraman killed by the Egypt police

I've thought of starting an account just for the reasons RB descibed.

Wonder when shit's REALLY gonna be hitting the fan over there. Probably not too long.

I just got on it within the last week for this exact reason.

Jury is still out on it though. I know I'm not supposed to see exactly everything but the amount of info is just mind boggling.

I twitter like a boss. Got a couple friends who are pro athletes and we go around trolling fans. lol

I mean, I know there's been clashing for the past couple months, and the big one last year. But as far as day-to-day stuff, I had no clue they were in a state of emergency.

Lately I've pretty much tuned out of news/politics. Life is better that way.

Its only good for hot chicks to post pics of themselves.

Never used it, no idea how it works, not particularly interested in finding out. Facebook's annoying enough for me.

I'm a Luddite. No twitter, no facebook for me. I try to minimize the info out in cyberland on me on general principal.
