One of my oddball favorites

Not as well known in the US, is Japanese guitarist and composer Kazumi Watanabe. He's done a LOT of different styles during his career, and the man has master / maestro level chops, forget now - he was scary-good even 25 years ago.
But this clip is mostly about the unbelievable rhythm section backing him in this video. The way these guys lock in and step outside on a wicked groove is both masterful and really funky.
