Need some suggestions for stuff to do in Berlin...

Post by Diocide »

What's up scumfucs. I'm going to Berlin in a week and wanted to know if any of you had been there lately, and or maybe know of some cool stuff to do around there. My wife and I will be staying close to the Brandenburg gate, if that helps out with the general area. I hope to check out some museums, architecture as well as some, no wait, LOTS of beer and food.

What say you teh Den of Scumfucs?

Hit Ku-dam (Kufurstendam) it's a main shopping street. Great food and shopping.

Look for a Maximillian CurryWurst shop. Eat Currywurst and pommes (french fries with mayo).

Look for a Doner Kebab shop. Eat Doner.

Drink Berliner Pils or Schultheis beer.
My trash is whitest.

Busted, actually it was from poltran.com though. Somewhere in there is a Pollock joke, but my allergies are fucking with me too bad for me to work it out. And I say that as someone with a little Pol in my family tree.

Have fun man, I would love to go to Berlin. I have eastern European/German heritage, so it would be especially meaningful.

Word. I've never been to Germany, but I've been to Poland a bunch. We're gonna stay in Berlin for a couple days, and then my uncle is going to come and scoop us, he lives just over the border. It should be fun. You should definitely go man!

I'll just add that I've been to Berlin a few times and spent significant time there.. Its without a doubt my favorite city.. I definitely enjoy the Kabobs! Lol.. Can't tell you specifically what to do cause i never did any tourist stuff there.. But If you know people there, then just enjoy the town and their everyday life.. If i didn't have kids, a wife and responsibilities, i would be living it up in Berlin speaking proper German by now! Lolol.. And enjoy the sights of women who aren't fat! Haha.. Even if they are ugly, chances are they still have a banging body...

i will add make sure the Doner Kabab place is run by Turkish, they are awesome in Berlin though.
I like CurryWurst too it is fantastic, it is basicly a sausage with ketchup mixed with curry sauce.

I was working there in 2008 and had a great time, nice people. Check out the Berlin wall and the old cathedrals.
The bars are fun, the food is good (though even I got sick of meat by the time I left, I was dying for a salad)
Have fun, enjoy Euro land.

its weird, because when i saw the place in in Austin ( vertskebap.com by the way) it said "berlin inspired kebap" and i was like, hey, thats what we got in Turkey (and to some extent in the rest of the med and the arabian gulf countries). turns out the turks brought that shit through berlin and they dug it. but yeah ive had some awesome kebaps in the wee hours in dubai, bahrain, marmarisk. soooooo good.

it looks like verts got the waffle-ish bread down from berlin, whereas we usually saw it on either split french bread or pita/tortilla elsewhere

fuck, im hungry

Yeah dude!

What the fuck is that Berlin bread? That shit is SOO BOMB! That's what makes the sandwich.

French baguette would be OK...fuck Pita though. I can't imagine a Berliner Doner without Turkish bread.

Next years Austin Ampfest...You're showing me where this Doner shop is!
