Hey :)

Argentina, almost 17, open to most music genres. Started playing piano at 12, and been wandering around in the guitar world since I left the piano lessons. 4 years with a teacher, and now learning by myself. Wanting to become a producer.

Started with an "x" brand SG-type guitar and a Marshall MG15 Dfx, which I got to love a lot, but unfortunately sold some days ago. Went to the store two years ago to get an Epiphone SG and ended up with a Gibson SG  I didn't sell my first guitar anyway, no one should! Together with my father, we stripped it down, gave it a new roundy shape, replaced all the electronics and hardware, and dyed it brown ('cause when I saw the wood after sanding, it was just too good looking to remain covered by opaque paint, though it was a bit too bright... nevertheless, it is almost cardboard in technical terms! :p )

When we finished, I played it a bit (it had a horrible fretty sound xD ), looked at him, and he said: "Well... at least it's a cool guitar to hang up on the wall". I still laugh about that.

Used to have a POD HD500, but after some months realized it sounded awful. My expectations were too high to convince myself that it had been a terrible choice! So, I sold that and a couple of other pedals to finally buy a Blackstar HT 50 watt halfstack... And I must say, not bad at all! Practical and great sounding :D but still getting used to tube stuff. Definitely a better feel.

Personally, I am a really big admirer of Vai, Satch, Soundgarden, RATM, Audioslave... but really enjoy almost anything. I really enjoy listening and talking about gear, sounds, and experiences! I should say, though, I'm new to forums. Never made a single post on any. And wanted to at least give it a try.

So here I am :D Thanks for reading!

(Any tips about this or any forum, that you think I should know, are totally welcome :) )

1) Welcome!
2) Your English is great!
3) Vai, Satch, Thayil and Morello all get plenty of love here, so you should fit in nicely.
4) We like photos (of your gear or yourself), sound clips, and videos, so if you're in a position to make any of those, great!
5) You'll find we talk about a lot of off-topic stuff here. Join in if you like, ignore it if you don't. We have plenty of active members who don't care to discuss movies, books, or boobies.
6) A good way to jump right in to the forum is to hit the View new posts button up top, click on a topic that interests you, and join the conversation.

Thanks man! ;D You're so friendly! Appreciate the tips :) Photos coming soon, hopefully. I'll try uploading some clips, I'm still learing about recording, but like it a lot. We'll see if I can manage to do something with a condenser xD I'd like to get a SM57 someday. You know, here, in the tip of the world, gear is scarce and pretty expensive. It was hard to reach a tube amp and an american guitar xD relatively little people can afford these kinds of things. Be thankful not to live here, at least as a musician! hahaha xD

Btw, that's some hell of a rig! :O
