I played guitar all through the 80's.
When I was in my twenties.

Then real life happened.

Now that real life has left the nest, I've recently picked up the guitar again.
And I'm amazed how much I remember.
Muscle memory; it never forgets, it just needs a bit of reminding.

Also, not being a kid in his twenties,
I don't worry about being "a good guitar player" anymore.
I don't compare myself to anyone.
And I no longer think gear, gadgets or brands makes any difference.

I'm just having fun now :-)

The whole thing about gear and gadgets... all that changes when you join a forum like this. You'll start getting GAS for all kinds of things you don't currently care about. We look forward to seeing your contributions!

I think you'll find a lot of things of intrest here. It's good to see someone pick up the guitar again after a few years and get back into things. There are quite a few of us older guys here BTW, and there is a lot to be learned from the youg guys.
