Hair loss, how to deal with it?

So my grandpa and father started losing there hair in there teens and i have been slowly noticing it, i just tried to not pay attention to it. I noticed today that i have a considerable amount of hair loss in the back/top of my head. It's been slowly getting worse over time :( So i've been looking at options, I think hair transplant surgery it too expensive and they can't guarantee that it won't fall out again, Rogaine is fairly expensive and if you stop using it, it can speed up hair lose. It sucks, i'm turning 21 in October and i'm already having to deal with hair loss, I've thought about shaving my head but i don't want to look unprofessional or like a nazi or anything since i'm trying to get a job at a bank still  Any of you guys have this problem? how did you deal with it

EDIT:
Changed lose to loss because my phone autocorrected when i posted

Do you mean hair loss? Because the incorrect usage of "lose" is killing me here.

And no, I can't relate. I have tons of hair on my head. I could probably spare 1/5 follicles and be fine. Genetics are a bitch aren't they? :D

Seriously, the only answer to this is gracefully. Combovers don't fool anyone.

My son started losing his about the same time.
Went to clippers, and keeping it very short - but within a couple years, just went full monte and now shaves it.

I don't think it is 'nazi' or unprofessional at all - as long as you don't have a swastika on your head somewhere............

If you really want to go down the road of transplant and rogaine and so on feel free but in my opinion it's a huge investment of time, money, and effort. Or, as one of my buddies said to me "choose baldness before it chooses you."

Hah mine started thinning at 14. I kept it as long as I felt comfortable and at 21 I started buzzing it as short as a could with clippers. After a few months after that I started bic-ing it and have kept it that way for about 5 years now. I don't think its unprofessional and I even have a decent length of beard with the shaved head. If you don't want to go whole hog then just clip it short or give it a shot and if you don't like it let it grow back some and keep it buzzed tight.

I've receded to the point where it is time to embrace the baldness.

No. Actually, it's a 1988 hatchback Mustang that dumped a oil pump under a severe load and now helps the weeds in the driveway grow.

Get it right next time.

Look, you have two choices here. You can go full-on Hevy-Devy rage skullet, or you can shave it.

:cop:

OK, so it's not QUITE that clear cut. But I made a pact with myself when I was about fifteen or so. I was going to enjoy my hair while I had it, and let fucking GO when it started to slide. I wore it long as long as it was full. When I was early twenties, I bought a beard trimmer with a nice short extender on it, and that's been my head trimmer ever since. I refused to go down the road of skullet. And those were my choices. Don't think for a moment anyone in the WORLD with any level of vision that could be considered acceptable for driving wouldn't notice plugs. And rogain's for pussies that can't accept reality.

Embrace yourself. Embrace your reality. Trim it down, let it ride as it exists. I've had short hair for almost twenty years at this point. I still headbang like a motherfucker at every possible opportunity. Fuck judgement. Don't give people a reason to believe you're uncomfortable with what you actually are. Just be. Just. . . fucking. . . be.

It is borderline ignorant to say it will look unprofessional/ to stereo type it as 'nazi' like that. Going bald is a natural part of life. It can be something that takes a little while to adjust to, but once you accept that you can't really do anything about it - since there is NO way to make it grow back; and hiding it makes it very obvious that you are trying to (I'm talking toupee/ rogaine etc.)

UV protection is a must. Sunglasses look cooler. Women like to touch it. Beards become a piece of art.

I know plenty of guys who have to shave their head. It doesn't look unprofessional at all, as long as you maintain it. Shave Regularly, and use whatever product it is they use to keep yer noggin lookin' shiny and smooth. And hats. Learn to love hats. I've already started investing in Fedoras and the like.

I'm not there yet, but it's clear to me my day is coming...I've noticed this year, even though I've still got sufficient coverage, I've got to be careful not to get too much sun on my head, so...

I started going bald at 19. I was devastated and started wearing ball caps for the next several years.

Then I realized I was fighting a rear-guard action. I started shaving my head at 24 and never looked back. I shave my head in the shower with a disposable razor and gel without a mirror (I could probably do it blindfolded in my sleep).
