Going to see Joe Satriani in August

I've seen him twice before. Once after the Professor Satchafunkalus album and once with Vai at the "Benefit for Cliff" concert. My sister in law bought me the Satchurated:Live in Montreal CD and I've been listening to it almost non-stop for a couple months. Every time I listen something new pops out at me and it's really a phenomenal recording. So I went on his website and saw he's got some USA dates, one in August in Los Angeles, so I'm taking my wife. I'm seriously excited. I've drawn out soooo much inspiration from this guy over the last couple months with this Satchurated album that I figured the least I could do to say "thank you" is go see him live and pay tribute as an added energy configuration within the bigger crowd conglomerate. Nerdy guitar geek stuff etc...

I'm going see him in September, at the House of Blues in NOLA.

Bryan Beller, Marco Minneman and Mike Keneally are playing with him too

And the Steve Morse band is opening

Gonna be fucking amazing. It'll be my 2nd time seeing teh Snatch :rawk: :rawk:

Yeah man I know you're a fan! :thu: This will be my second time seeing his actual show. The benefit for Cliff was cool but it was a lot more like a jam and he didn't have his steady rehearsed band with him.

Check out that Satchurated album I mentioned. I don't have the DVD, which might now be as good to watch, but listening to this CD for a while now has been awesome. It's a stellar fucking recording.
