So a
callaham is $150
Gotoh is $100
Wilkinson is $17.
I’ve had a vintage style jap fernandez strat trem that fucking sucked. (Could have been made by gotoh, looking back) I bought a used callaham and it was a considerable upgrade all the way around.

I have a Wilkinson but it wasn't $17. But it wasn't very expensive either.. like 50 bucks. So I guess they different levels. It's pretty good, smooth and stable.
The older Fernandes tremolos were made by Takeuchi and yes, they sucked.

I bought the Gotoh for my parts-Strat (American Special Body/Allparts neck) and it’s awesome. Proper bent steel saddles, good size block, everything you could want in a good vintage trem.

Ended up buying a gold gotoh wilky VSV. I’ve always wanted a vsv. Good enough for andy timmons. This guitar is going to look good with gold.

Solid trem. I think Paul used them on his Pittman S guitars. I had one on a 95 Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette Special (only year it didn’t say special below the Silhouette logo but was HSS and 22 frets). Great trems.

Awesome choice! That is what is on my Yamaha USA 1. Super smooth and solid.

The Wilkinson one on my Fret-King is crazy good. Dunno the model name but it's six screw mount with the bent saddles
