What have your ins and outs been this year? Any highlights?

Peavey XXX 40 combo
EVH 5153 6l6 50w with 2x12

Out:
Gibson SG Special
Marshall JVM 210H
Rivera 4x12
Fender AV thinskin '55 tele

My pedal and amp gas is basically nonexistant at the moment which is kind of a nice feeling

I discovered that I'm apparently a big PRS guy too  no meaningful guitar gas, but I am still lusting after a core HBII and I do need to pickup a tele again at some point

No guitars or amps this year, just pedals
MJM London germanium fuzz
Strymon Lex V1
Drybell Vibe Machine V3
DLS effects Versa Vibe
Keeley Caverns
PedalPCB ElectroVibe
Keeley Compressor Plus
Dunlop Band of Gypsys mini fuzz face
MXR Fat Sugar

I sold off the Fat Sugar and ElectroVibe to a guy at work who was looking to build up a pedalboard. I have plenty of vibe pedals and the Electrovibe sounded similar to my JHS Unicorn. The Fat Sugar is typically a Stupid Deal of the Day, so maybe at some point I'll rebuy one.

I also got some Fralin pickups for my Firebird and I have. Tone Pro locking bridge for the SG Special on the way.... but don't really consider that gear lol..... I can see me upgrading the pickups in the SG to the Fralin noiseless P90s in the future though....but it's not a pressing issue

The only thing I bought this year gear-wise was the silverburst LPC (which still absolutely fucks)

Oh and I guess I'll give an honorable mention to the Infiltrator 2 plugin if that counts; currently obsessed with that and using it on everything

I am going to need a whole day off to inventory everything. But I kind of did a purge recently, since I needed to raise cash to buy the new house. For the Gibsons, I kept only my #1 LP Classic, a 2003 Studio and the SG Special. All the others were sold.

I also put together a few partscasters and got an Ibanez RG and a Jackson DK2. So I have 10 guitars total now.

Amps... I sold a bunch of stuff. Pretty much only kept the 2203, the DSL and the BluGuitar. Oh I also got a DSL combo since I found a crazy deal on one ($350). All the Mesas, EVH, etc were sold.

Pedals... jesus christ, I don't even know. My main board has a DD500, Nobels ODR-1, Boss SD-1 and a mini Crybaby. So that's pretty simple.
I also have a second board with another mini Cry Baby and a Boss MS-3. But I rarely used multi-effects these days.

Other than that, I have boxes full of pedals here but I also sold a bunch of them, so I need to go through them and see .

EVH 100S got replaced by the Mark VII
I got the Synergy stuff and KSR PA50
Tom sent me that Peters
Got my cousin's guitar all situated with a replacement body in the same color and made in the same month as his original...the veneer top even appears to be cut from the same piece of wood. Grain patterns are identical.
Fucked around a little bit with pickups
Got my pedal board situated

That's it. Been a slow year for me.

Might have forgotten something. Moral: the Mark VII is the easy king of the mark series for me and it’s not particularly close. 100w El34 was close with the regular stealth but ultimately I feel is more useable. They both crush the 50w variety in all but size.

Basically with guitars, I should stop fucking around with stuff outside of my norm. And even amps, the Racto is cool, but it won't be around forever. Frankly, hopefully not much longer

Yeah, I've been saying this about the VII. It is the KING of the Mark series. I've been tempted to grab another IV, but why. Especially considering the prices these days. But this amp has been the king of all amps for me. Amazing amp. Amazing tone and response!

I don't know about the EL34, but I felt the 100s was the top tier of 5150s. Definitely blow the 50 watts away...not even close.

Squier Standard Stratocaster, I like this way more than I thought I would after installing a bridge HB.

Marshall G50RCD, another surprise after some mods.
Fender Ultimate Chorus DSP, third stereo chorus amp I've had. Do I have to say how nice the cleans are?

Out

Bogner Uberschall pedal, very good.
Bogner Ecstasy red mini, biggest let down of the year. I didn't like it through any of my amps. Very fizzy and muddy. Hype?
I have some gear listed to be sold.

You could say I had nostalgia driven GAS. Most of the gear is over 20 years old. The Squier is from 1997, the year I started playing, and isn't much different from my first guitar. I can assemble a rig very close to what I had in middle school.

I don’t even remember. Nothing major by most metrics. I think I put together and finished building an old raw stock Peavey HP special that I sourced the raw necks and body for. Pretty sure that was the his spring.

I have an Evh 15 lunchbox head here I should have returned but missed the opportunity. Lol. So I bought that.

Other than that, I pretty much just dialed in speakers and pickups and looked more into Speaker IRs and way to utilize this type of recording.
