So those Equator D8s I ordered arrived. One sounds great, one sounds like ass. A little investigation reveals the source of the ass. Torn speaker cone, thanks GC.

What studio monitors you guys like? I just sold my Yamaha HS8 and was never blown away by them.

I love my Adams A7x. The TV series look awesome, too. If I was on a budget looking at new ones, I think I would look at the Kali LPs.

Been looking at the Kali IN8. I like the front port since I'm up against the wall. Anyone used those?

I'll check out those monitors Raf, I'm trying to keep the budget around the $500 I sold the Yamahas for so I'm looking used.

I'm using the JBL 308Ps. They sound good, they're not my be-all end-all monitors but the best I've found in its price range.

I had the HS7s and wasn't crazy about them. Sold them and bought 305Ps. They were great but I wanted bigger speakers, so I upgraded them to the 308s.

I'll keep them until I'm ready to go to the next level/price.

Bought Kali IN8s.

Demo units for $600. Solid price. I'm hyped.

I didn't want to downgrade to "cheaper" speakers even if they sounded better and I couldnt swing the nice Adams.

I got lucky with my Adams. My old drummer was working at GC at the time and got me 20% off.
