They really are killing it, the re-202 is an integral part of my sound now
Guitars: 2018 Gibson Les Paul Standard | Fender American Pro II Stratocaster | PRS S2 Mccarty 594 | PRS S2 Vela Semihollow | PRS CU-22 | PRS CE24 semihollow
A quick glance at TGP reminded that no matter how awesome a product is people will just find reasons to complain about features it doesn't have. Which is specially shocking when you consider that the vast majority of these people just need a delay to add ambience to their half-assed "don't stop believing" lead or to rip-off The Edge while worshipping Jeebus on Sundays.

I really think I need this. Too bad there's no on board reverb, I'd need a bigger pedalboard
But really can't complain this thing seems amazing

I can honestly say I can't think of anything that would REALLY make that pedal better.... MAYBE some sort of LED indicators around the knobs so you could see what your presets settings are when you recall them.... but that's so minor its not funny
Some dude trying to suggest getting two CC deluxes instead so you can have true stereo
1/10th the optionss and double the foot print, so much better
the CC deluxe is the biggest turd of a delay on the planet. Do not buy a carbon copy deluxe, I repeat, do not buy a carbon copy deluxe

And I like David Torn but his whining in that thread is dumb.
How often is someone going to be switching different delay types instantaneously in the same song?

Yeah I'm sure his stereo needs are one for each of the 2 corners of his basement so he can play his guitar without disturbing his mom upstairs.

Yeah I agree. They're pretty unbeatable. So many pedals they make go straight to classic standard.

This sounds like the high end and super tweakable basement/warehouse delay in comparison to the RE-202 as the outer space/ethereal based delay, if that makes sense.

It's crazy man. I play a good amount of shows, always with 3-4 other bands in the same night. I don't remember the last time I saw someone run a stereo rig with 2 amps and 2 completely separate chains. It's literally been years I've seen anything like that in the real world. And yet at TGP they make it sound like not having stereo inputs is the crime of the century. Forum snobs represent such a small percentage of actual players, they're easily ignored by manufacturers. It's kind of like when you go to a car forum full of snobs. By reading it you'd think everyone drives a manual when in reality that's like 2% of the population.
BOSS always had their ears tuned to the street and gigging musicians. Which is why their pedals are everywhere. Their stuff just works.

IMO, in the modern era the only way to practically do this is with an AxeFX (or equivalent). It's why the HRI (Huge Racks Inc) forum died... the answer to every question became "buy an AxeFX".
I'm actually glad that Boss has dropped stereo support... IMO it adds cost and complexity for features next to no one was going to use.

yeah exactly, do it with modeling. Although even most modeling rigs I've seen are running mono, at least at the local/club level. The pro bands using modeling probably run stereo just because lol, although the there is very little benefit to do that on a large venue. Most of those subtleties get lost in a large room anyway.

I applaud Boss on the use of the TRS 1/8" midi sync jacks. Needs to become standard on all time based FX pedals
