The advert says it's the last one Paul built. Correct me if I'm wrong but, Tutbo Pablo has the last Pittman that he built in total and I have the last one that he worked on.
Nevertheless, that's a great price!!!

That's not the worst price, either.

He didn't build one for Henning. Henning bought the one that had Slagletrons innit that sat for over a year. I bought it off Steve and sold it to a mutual friend who couldn't afford one while Paul was still building. He still has it, it lives in Hawaii.

TP and I have the last Strats Paul built, and this was the last Tele that he fully assembled and sold. TP's blackguard was unfinished, but is technically the most recently finished Pittman (almost 3 years after Paul passed away). The seller, William is a solid dude and he wouldn't lie about the provenance. He worked alongside Paul for many years, helped him out a bunch in the end as his health declined, and I'm pretty sure he's the one that completed your Pittman, Ajax. He builds some pretty amazing guitars under his own brand as well.
Played this one when I picked up my blackguard, it weighs less than a pedal (well, a big pedal):

I remember Paul talking nice things about William R.

Thanks for clearing that up, Greg!
I spoke to William on the phone a few times and he is a very nice guy indeed. I also remember communicating with Kevin about the finish.
No one said anything about William lying about the history of the Tele in question... instead, I was wondering if he could have been mistaken. Even nice guys remember things incorrectly from time-to-time.
Paul meant a lot to us and his guitars have more meaning than most; they're personal momentos that keep his memory alive and as such, the small historical details are of interest.
I wish Paul had time to write an autobiography... I bet it would have been fascinating!

I'm waiting for a more traditional S or T style to pop up. My green one already has a fancy top that's too nice for me.

Is William the guy who moved to England?
