Cab switcher hack

I'm not at home so I haven't tested it out yet with a DMM, but I thought of an easy way to possibly switch between cabs to compare them. I have a three button bypass looper. I was thinking about going from the speaker out on the amp into the bypass looper and having a cab in each of the first two loops. My cabs are 16 ohms each. So if a activate loop #1 I should get signal to that cab. Same with loop 2. If I activate both loops it should run in series right? So that should be an 8 ohm load right? Obviously if neither loop is on it would essentially be like running the amp with no load.

I'll measure this on my MM when I get home, but it seems like I shouldn't have any problems. Right?

Nooooooo that sounds like a bad idea on all levels:

1 I doubt the looper can handle an amp output

2 the impedance won't pass through the loop.

Get a Radial Cabbone or any other amp switcher. You need gear that is designed to do that.

Yeah, do not do that unless you just like breaking amps.
