Eric gave me some pointers on some things I haven't really tried before. I started trying to listen and see what some of these differences are, but kinda just scratching the surface. Anyway, same clip as before, just different stuff on top.

The new version sound way fuller. It sounds killer in my studio monitors.
I want to car test it later to see how the lows work in my car stereo. If they stay tight, that's amazing

i downloaded the free 10 day trial of ozone advanced after hearing your clips and you guys talking about it, i have the basic ozone with just the eq and limiter and the only other plugins i use really are the waves SSL channel, G comp and 1176.. it was late when i downloaded it and decided i need to just go to bed because i couldnt believe what i was hearing in the quick run through and needed sleep

im going to take a day off before the trial is up and really fuck with it, i was quite amazed though already and im sure they are gonna get my $500

Damn! $500!? I somehow got a cracked copy of ozone 5 like a decade ago, and they offered an upgrade for like $80, and I did that with the Ozone 9 release lol
But yeah, it is really powerful, and it does a lot!!
I've been using the dynamic EQ on it's own (you can use each plugin separately) for all kinds of stuff the last few weeks. On guitars for some low end pumps on the palm mutes, on drums for the snare. It's awesome. On this one, I am using EQ, Dynamic EQ, Imager, Dynamics, Vintage Limiter, and Maximizer. The previous version did not invlude the imager, dynamics, or vintage limiter. There are a handful of others in there, too, that I haven't messed with at all. So still lots to check out. But man...it's really great what it can do so far!!
Anyway, I feel like this was a big step in the right direction, and I know I can get more out of it. I will probably re-do the guitars again now that I know a little more about how the processing will work, and I can shoot for something more specific to work within that. I dunno.

yeah, the upgrade which i cant do is $200 now and the whole thing is $500. since ive been recording ive had this kind of stupid thing in my head i want to use minimal plugins of the classic hardware like a SSL board or 1176 and not use any drum samples and do everything live, i guess thats cool and my shit sounds cool in an old school way but i cant get that modern huge and clear thing you guys got going on, its probably time i get with the times lol.

Keep an eye on Sweetwater and maybe wait until Black Friday if you can. They run sales on Ozone and especially around Black Friday.

Nope. Been saying this for years. Grab one of the Elements suites when they go on sale or look around and see if one is on sale now; that counts as an upgrade at SW for that $200 thing. Did it once and been able to upgrade ever since on the cheap.
