Recorded some guitars with the 1987x

Post by GuitarBilly »

We've been sinishing up this song this weekend so I decided to re-record the guitars with new 1987x ... holy crap I love it. I used my new Captor X with the "transatlantic" IRs EndTime gave me. Shit sounds great.

The mix is about 95% done, just have a few things I want to change but pretty decent overall, I think.

Amps:
Depends on when you ask. I got tired of constantly updating this section lol

Cabs
Marshall 1960A w V30s/ Seismic 2x12 w Redback and V30.

That amp sounds like what a good Marshall should sound like. It cuts well, but doesn't get in the way of the vocals or other instruments.

I really like the normal channel on those with a treble booster too.

Did you get in on those Hommie Edition Bion Boosts years back? That would be perfect if you had one of those.

I did get one but ended up giving it away on one of our Battle of the Rigs contests.

I do have a Naga Viper here though, which is a great treble boost and sounds great with this amp.

Found this in the used pedals display case at the GC in La Mesa, would love to know how it made it there. Kid behind the counter thought they'd fucked up on pricing it when I started taking pics of it with the price tag still on.
