random first one: when people talk about sabotaging people's brakes. who the hell gets going fast enough on any drive for that to have an effect? whether its backing out of a parking spot or driveway or your first sidestreet stop sign, the majority of these would result in dumb rolling curb collisions, wouldnt they? there would be like a .02% chance of this working, right? dumb.


also, why good film directors choose to put CGI where a real person would not only suffice, but excel.


post random things that confound you

1.) you only weaken the line - so it doesn't do anything until the person is really on the brakes, and most likely needs to stop quick.
2.) it's cheaper, and CGI doesn't talk back.

still, the odds of everything happening perfectly for that to cause an accident, and the odds of death occurring from said accident....dumb threat.

but when guillermo del toro does it. y u do dis? if its playing a monster/ghost, a person with no face or lines should cost much or talk back at all. fuck, buy em lunch. done.

Why an asteroid or meteor hasn't destroyed this shithole of a planet yet.

brakes: my Peugeot had a leak and lost 90% of its brake fluid, the brake peddle went straight to the floor, no pressure at all, car still stoped though, so yea the brake thing is strange.

What don't understand are computers. Sure, I know the basics. You have electricity. It goes into the chip. The 0's and 1's are essentially "open/closed" to electricity as it flies through the connections.

Then, magically, it puts things on this screen. I can see things I'm typing. Fap to noodz. Play games.

I mean, I know how it works in theory (very basically, but the general idea) but it still seems like freaking magic. And how the hell did they ever figure out how to do this?

I think about this too. Is this the first time in human history that every day technology we all use is fucking MILES beyond the comprehension of all but the most specially trained/ intellegent?

There was a 20m*40m rock that passed between the geosynchronous satellites and earth back in February moving at a relative velocity of 12.7km/s, that's the closest one on record I believe for an object that size. If it had hit us, the estimated energy release would be around 2-3 megatons - certainly a big boom, but not planet killing.

If and when a planet-destroyer does hit us, I'd rather be in the impact crater I think :P Dunno how much fun living the rest of your life in a bunker/nuclear winter scenario would be.



As for shit I don't understand - wimmins. Not in the slightest.

Here's what I don't understand, how a group of immigrants came to this country in the early 1900's, speaking no English, with nowhere to stay and almost no money were able to succeed and retire wealthy.

I know that the chances of that happening now are 0. Could you imagine being an immigrant coming to this country now in that shape? No job, no place to stay, $10 in your pocket, no family, etc and being successful?
