Who's watching the matches? I'm Brazilian so the World Cup is important to me.

Amazing upset today with Saudi Arabia beating Argentina.

I'm watching France vs Australia now. I thought Australia would pull off another upset but France is dominating the match now.

I guess I'll have to wait for the European GGF crew to log in

Ah, not fussed about this one. I've never known a less hyped world cup than this one.

I'm watching... long time Germany supporter..... the Argentina V Saudi Arabia game was crazy this morning..... didn't expect that at all.... was busy with work for the rest of the day but so didn't get a chance to look at the other games... will be able to catch the Germany Vs Japan and Spain Vs Costa Rica games tomorrow though, looking forward to those.... the Belgium Vs Canada game tomorrow should also be good tomorrow but will be busy when it's on.

Thursday's games should be great, will be meeting up with some friends and family to watch the Portugal Vs Ghana and Brazil Vs Serbia games...

I'm watching! But this cup is tainted AF with Qatar hosting. Corruption in fifa has never been so apparent.

France beat the brakes of the Aussies

yeah I know... I know.. Qatar should've never been the host, FIFA is awful.. I agree with all of that... but damn I just want to watch some world class football and think about all that stuff later. :(
I can't be up in arms with everything that's wrong with the world all the time.. I just want to enjoy the games

Now that the games are on, it will be easier to focus.

I’m going on vacation this December; I think I’ll use it to polish my résumé. I’m applying for the Presidency of FIFA, because I know Infantino is out by tournament’s end.

Seriously, I’m going to avoid the political debates associated with this World Cup, but, coming from a soccer town (lucrative summer tournament, and a very good high school program), and having champions in the family, I have a bit more exposure to the sport than others might have.

I’d love to see the US take England to a 2-0 victory, but it isn’t going to happen. France will take the Cup this year.

boy... this first half was exciting.... Germany's form is just killer.... shame they just can't seem to finish the plays and get the ball in the goal... looking forward to the 2nd half!

Man it's a good year to bet on the underdog. Can't believe Japan beat Germany.
Germany wasted so many good opportunities though. Their offense is solid but they're lacking a finisher.

that was their problem 4 years ago and it looks like they haven't fixed it.....

I'll be watching the Spain closely at 12.... need to see if Germany stands a chance against them on Sunday! lol

Yep I agree, its pretty much the same problem they had the last WC.
Strong team, can't finish.

To Japan's credit, their strategy of bringing in Asano in the middle of second half paid off big time. He's a hell of a player and have him come in fresh at that point was the destabilizing factor.

I'll be watching Spain for sure.

Just checked the scores, and this is hard to believe. A couple of big upsets this year.

Finally they missed the opportunity to blame Fifa for this result by not being penalized for playing with the one love captains armband :D

What I've learned: underdogs are doing pretty well. Unless I bet in one of them. Then they suffer the biggest loss of this cup so far

7-0 lol that's rape.

Belgium is kinda stacked but this game should be closer than others. Canada is sneaky good. Belgium has many European league starters, though.
