I also just love those pics you posted, great classic stuff, I wish I was around to see him play but I hear lots of similar stories of him as a player! I think he was in some beer commercials of the early 1980s as well

He was a monster on the field, but a few of his signature moves are no longer legal. He invented the head slap, and would basically throw a roundhouse into the side of the opposing tackle's head...sometimes two or three times on the same play. They've also significantly changed the offensive holding rules, so it is much easier for offensive linemen to pass block now. Having said all that, if he wasn't the most dominant defensive player ever Alan Page was.
