Is this show actually any good? I really liked the first season or so we watched. But it seemed like YEARS between seasons and AMC put zero effort into any sort of PUSH on it. I have no idea where we left off. I vaguely remember an episode with him and his drinking buddy in college running scams at some bar?
It seems like it started a decade ago and they just trotted out episodes here and there with really no effort towards any sort of momentum on it.

Really stoked. Going to rewatch 1-5 to prep in the meantime.
One of the few shows I actually pay for (since I don’t have cable) to watch as it comes out.
Been such a fan of Bob’s since I first watched Mr Show in the 90s.

Dude... would I lead you astray?
From what I understand, this final season is going to be two mini-seasons (same with Breaking Bad), and should wrap up over the summer. Plenty of time to binge BB and this show (my recommendation is to watch BB first) to get caught up before the final mini-season plays out.

THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The waiting has been tough....
They used to make
36 episodes a season, for Gilligan's Island, gat dang it!!!
Other than Bob Odenkirk's health issue, during the filming of this final season, I don't know why this show wasn't wrapped up three years ago.

I'll have to give it another go. I will probably wait for the last season to finish. My wife could always take it or leave it. We had much more a affinity for Breaking Bad. Like I said; I dug it but it was worse than Peaky Blinders where it always felt like an eternity between seasons to where you had no idea where you left off last.

Jive, the show kept getting better and better as it went on.
I'm really stoked.
BTW, I just tried to post content discussion under the spoiler code. Can't get it to work.
So, I guess I don't want to ruin the show for people who aren't caught up.

I'll spoil it for ya, Gene...
Jimmy becomes Saul, who becomes Gene

The show is good, but I agree the push and the breaks between seasons really kill the momentum.
Episodes go best if you're up on your Breaking Bad lore. To the point of individual background objects showing up that will "later" be in Breaking Bad. It's crazy the amount of stuff they dug up to give a pre-story to. Even the stuffed pig Mike's granddaughter has gets a backstory here. That's how thorough they're being.

All you have to do is download the FTP patch from AMC’s server and watch it now

It’s a very slow burn and some episodes move at a snail’s pace, but all the characters are well-written and ya end up caring about all of them. It’s also well-shot and nice to look at. The scene on the balcony where Kim starts throwing beer bottles with Sal is so good.

Yeah it’s a pretty slow burn so it’s understandable how some people don’t get into it but I love it. Great show. For me the quality more than makes up for the lingering camera shots and drawn out uncomfortable or awkward moments. It kinda becomes part of how it’s effective.

So in trawling the IMDB episode description list; it seems like we made it at least through season 3 if not into season 4? It's tough for me to tell. I almost feel like I should probably just start the whole d@mn thing over

I think its great, but if you didnt watch or like breaking bad, then this series is slower than a sloth trying to digest food.

Nacho, man, for as much as he was this show's Jessie, he at least went out like a motherfuckin' boss. God damn. His speech was one of the best moments of the show so far.

That dude is one HELL of an actor. Being able to pull off those faces he makes while supposedly in a nearly paralyzed state is pretty damned impressive.

Really dig how the two, Salamanca hit men cousins are so freeking menacing... and they never say a word.
They were walking around Lalo's house, while the Federales were examining the dead bodies and the Federales moved out of
their way!
I think I'd soil myself if I ever ran into them!!!
