Joe called it an "emergency" to do this podcast with Bret Weinstein and Dr. Pierre Kory.

Highly recommend y'all watch it.

This particular episode is like those from past years.

Peep it if you can. I think it’s a really important one.

Yeah I’m not sure what’s different. I was never a “regular” listener not even a casual listener, but sometimes he has on people that I’d like to hear some stuff from. And the one thing about his show is people generally get on there and speak freely and in a way you simply don’t hear from other sources Or other shows. I remember quite clearly when he had Michael Osterholm (a former govt infectious disease expert not in office AT THE TIME) and he spoke clearly and defined on what was likely gonna happen at the very beginning Of Covid and because this isn’t really a surprise to many who study infectious disease for a career, he was pretty accurate. He’s now BACK in office on Biden’s Covid team and while he hasn’t spoken much, I can say what he speaks now on CNN or MSNBC is different than he spoke when he was speaking freely and unfiltered 1 year earlier.

So Rogan gets really great guests at times, people who are experts and tops of their chosen field, and he gets them to speak without too much agenda, he asks pretty decent questions and just for that level of insight and communication, his show is still very worthwhile.

You get a much better sense of a person and what they’re “selling” when the format is 2-3 hours of straightforward one on one dialogue. I’ve seen people expose themselves as hacks and he’s really good at scratching under the surface of people’s bullshit. And on the opposite side I’ve seen people really come across as honest and credible people that I had previously doubted or didn’t care for.

The regular TV format does not allow for these things to be revealed as easily. The really good podcasts have greatly increased the quality of content and dialogue that we get to consume.

Anyway, the episode I’m posting about is one of those. Bret Weinstein is a god damned hero.
