Usually I hit 10-15 red rocks shows per season, no red rocks was probably the worst part about 2020. I can't remember if my last show there was Mark Knopfler (terrible show) or Greensky Bluegrass w/ Billy Strings (amazing show). Both were in fall of '19 so its been a minutes
Kicking off this year with Papadosio on June 2. Should be a good time. Capacity will still be limited but its going back to full capacity at the end of June (the day after umphreys mcgee's 3 day run which makes me big mad because I dont have tix

)

I'm seeing Phish and Dead n Company in the same week in October, hasn't happened for me since 2004! But they won't be at a venue like Red Rocks, that's for sure. I think the only better venue that I've been to is the Gorge in WA.
Here's to getting back to normal, SoS. :

D&C is playing at Fiddlers green here the week of my birthday

I'll still probably go but god damn that venue sucks. Usually they play folsom field in boulder
Phish has their labor day Dick's run again this year. I've actually never gone to a phish show but I always consider it
Both bands are a little to big for Red Rocks capacity unfortunately

I've been to a lot of Phish shows. They're not all great, but some are amazing. I try get the best view of Mike Gordon when I buy tickets or do general admission.

Beautiful venue. I didn’t see a show there but I hiked around there in January.

Kick ass venue/location. Hard to walk up all those stairs from the concert parking, but worth it

Hiking around there was much easier without a concert going on.

Perhaps more sad and depressing than anything... the setlist was mostly more recent ballads and it was pretty dull, and when he was playing songs with more poppin' guitar lines, it was pretty apparent that he can't play like he used to anymore. I guess I should be grateful I got to see him, but I can't say I enjoyed that show very much
I was also upset because it was a sold out show and I paid well over face for the tickets

Sad and depressing. Definitely the Kempers.
