When I was there for the 2017 ampfest I went to Joeys KC BBQ on the Kansas side of KC. Amazing!!/

Yeah man, that's it. It wasn't expensive at all and the food was really good.

Joe's KC BBQ is my fav but it is cafeteria style dining (usually a long line but worth it). If you want great BBQ and a nice sit down experience, Jack Stack or Q39 is the way to go. Congrats on your son's graduation!

I've never been to K.C., but Gates, Joe's KC BBQ and Arthur Bryant's are considered some of the best bbq spots in the world. Jones, Harp, Q39, Slap's, LC's, Fiorella's Jack Stack, Char Bar and Woodyard and Big T's are all supposed to be top tier bbq. There are a lot of great steakhouses too: 801 Chop House, The Majestic, Golden Ox, Jess & Jim's, Hereford House, Eddie V's, Stock Hill, J. Gilbert's, Anton's, Rye and Pierpoint's. Where's KCTigerChief? Ask him.

i enjoyed a rip to Schlafly-- super nice folks and a lotta decent beer, and they have shows on occasion!

I think I ate at Jack Stack when I was there. It was good, but my gut tells me there is probably many superior bbqs to be had in KS
