How the f@#$ do you keep it hot??

I love a good Beef Manhattan. I have to use the quick method for a WFH lunch, so I buy jarred Heinz Savory Beef Gravy, I put some warmed deli roast beef on white bread, put it in the microwave to get it hot, lather it with bubbling hot gravy from the sauce pan on the stove and within 2 minutes that shit is room temperature.

Absolutely baffling...

You need to eat faster.

I think you have to keep it in a crock pot or slow cooker, which can be difficult if you are having lunch at work...

I poured it out of the sauce pan (bubbling) over the sammich, grabbed my fork and napkin and carried the plate back to the home office (30 steps). By the time I dialed-up GGF in a browser to peruse while eating lunch, it was lukewarm. I swear it was nuclear hot in the sauce pan.

That shit dissipates heat faster than a tile on the space shuttle...

A) You need lots more gravy to maintain the heat throughout.
B) You need to keep it on a hot plate.
C) You should just drink the entire warmed up jar at once.
D) Keep the plate on your head so the body heat keeps it warm.

Most of the time when I have gravy all the food it's on/surrounded by/in is also warm, so there's a natural tendency to stay warm. Gravy on taters never gets cold. Gravy on bread? Good luck.

A) I used an entire (albeit small) jar for one sammich
B) The sammich and beef were hot (ish)
C) I am intrigued by the option of skipping the sammich and dealing only with the gravy. Let's be honest, the gravy is the star here
D) I like C) better

gravy makes everything better , try the Thai dish "rad-na"

yeah I didn't explain it correctly. Keep it in a crock pot at all times and keep dipping the sandwich in it as you eat it. That's how I gravy.

True story: I've been known to bring a crock pot full of meatballs and homemade sauce and let it sit on my desk stinking up the department.

We had a guy cook salmon on a George Foreman grill in the break room years ago. He burned it and the place smelled like ass for two days. Very specific ordinances were created following that incident...

I don't usually get complaints since I pass out hoagie rolls and invite people to come load them up.

Granted, anybody cooking fish at work needs a good solid whack with the clue by four.

I make lunches at home, freeze them and heat them up at work in the microwave.

The first time I brought mac & cheese with tuna, I was told not to bring it to work again....
The receptionist sits about 15 feet from the microwave and the tuna stunk up the whole front office for about 2 hours... hit me with that clue by four!!!
