Reminder: Life is short

A really great guy at my job died of a heart attack last night playing soccer with friends. He was loved and respected by all of us. He was always genuine and sweet and it was infectious. He really made things warmer just by him being him.
He was 52 and really healthy, solid youthful muscular dude, and stayed active. He had no family in the country but I've been contacted by his best friend and other friends he had here in L.A. This one hurts.
It's always tragic when someone dies but this one definitely has that feeling of losing one of "the good ones".
Be thankful for every day that you wake up in the morning. Take nothing for granted. I know we all know, but reminders are good.
