Devin's fax worked perfectly.

Client was potentially lying.

Back story. "client" is actually a participant in a simple ira. Their boss (a much bigger client) told them to fax over info to get 2 other participants enrolled.

Faxer never faxed anything. Told the boss it must have been the fax's fault.


The possibility was plausible due to us having a brand new digital fax system, however, the possibility was unlikely based on recent behaviour from participant/faxer, plus the fact that the system worked perfectly when Devin faxed me.

He should have saved the confirmation page. Rookie mistake. If it’s something important and I want to be sure to cover my ass I always save the confirmation page.

I just got the fax archive from the provider. Client never sent it.

Killed 2 birds with one stone today. Thanks, gents. Double thanks to Devin.

Thread titles I didn't expect to see in 2021.

We were just having a discussion about how many of our dealers still use the fax to place orders. Fax me. It's so wrong headed. Especially when they could do the exact same amount of work to pop the orders through our web site and not risk somebody upstairs fat-fingering when rekeying it.
