I'm super into VOLA and Sleep Token at the moment. Really digging STRONG singers lately with little to no screaming. Both of these bands have fantastic vocalists, and lots of synth/ambience elements.
The year of COVID has brought me out of everything that isn't punk, hardcore, or metal (with the exception of Run the Jewels). Its weird I listen to almost nothing else ever since everything got squirrelly.
The Lawrence Arms put out a great album last year, maybe my favorite release of theirs to date. Just really great song writing and lyrics all around, love it.
I've always been into The Lilingtons and I finally gave the singers other band a chance and it turns out they've got some awesome songs too so I've been enjoying Teenage Bottle Rocket.
I also cannot stop listening the The Human Project for the last year or so. They've perfected the skate punk + metal influences with hooks thing I've been attempting for years. It almost makes me mad because every song I wish I had written myself but I'm just not as talented as them.

I've had some weird swings in the past twelve months. After getting the tele I got into classic rock and really held a torch for Foreigner, who were a favorite when I was a kid. But here in the last couple months I swung completely the other way and went full-blown metal / prog / avant garde weirdness.
That Sleep Token record is killer, not surprised you're digging on it.
I've been listening to Emma Ruth Rundle's On Dark Horses a ton recently, it's real fucking good. And this "live" performance is pretty damn good too.

Dude to bring things back to my recent preferences, if you’re digging on Thou they released a record with ERR relatively recently as well which is pretty sweet.
I like to see you now and then So tired of asking where you've been I’m feeling blue, I think you're glad I know I'm through, through with you Through with you
Red taillights moving down the street The sidewalk’s hard under my feet My time has come, my patience gone My yellow sun has gone down Has gone down
My world takes on a different form And each new image will conform I'm no longer blue, I think you're sad I know I'm through, through with you Through with you
Through with you Through with you

I saw a band called, The Eyesores, when I visited San Francisco in 2002. They were playing at the Stork Club in Oakland and after the show, I said hello and bought their CD called, Eyeswatter. Recently, I learned the had never stopped playing and I bough there new album, Party Animals on Bandcamp. It's raw, DIY punk at it's best... https://theeyesores.bandcamp.com/album/ ... sotU1dCA_c
Here's a vid of them playing in 2015... go to 22:23 the lead is really cool.

I’ve been digging the shit out of this the past few weeks. The groove is so good and the solos are excellent. Chances are even if you don’t recognize these dudes you’ve heard them before, a bunch of them have played on a ton of stuff.
