OT: So apparently the mayor of my city smokes crack.

The short version is, three journalists from two separate news organizations were offered a video that purportedly depicts Toronto Mayor Rob Ford smoking crack and saying outlandish things. The catch is, neither organization was willing to pay the $100k price that the drug dealers that shot it wanted.
Gawker first broke the story claiming to have seen the video, upon which the price jumped to $200k. They've been crowdsourcing funding to buy it. Gawker spilling the beans forced the Toronto Star journalists to confirm that they had indeed seen the same video.
The mayor hasn't really said anything other than 'these allegations are ridiculous' and accusing the Toronto Star of being on a witch hunt for him.
The really sad part of this is, most people who live in Toronto aren't even surprised about this. It's just the latest in a bunch of stupid things the mayor has done. However, I don't like all the negative attention it's giving the city.
