I thought jay had been clean for a long time. I stopped listening to smodcast a while back, so I could be missing something.

I met him when I was living in L.A. He was friends with a girl I was kinda seeing, who was a bartender at the Rainbow Bar and Grill.

One day, we're hanging out at her place and he stops by. He's carrying a brief case with what he said was $50k in cash with him, he said he took all his money out of the bank because his ex and the FBI are after him. Then he said there were agents hiding in the trees in front of her apartment so he went hiding behind the couch with the briefcase and told my friend not to open the door to anyone (no one ever knocked at the door).
My friend told me to just ignore him, he does this kind of shit all the time so we continued to hang out like nothing happened.
Anyway, he ended up falling asleep behind the couch for 4 hours, then woke up, thanked her, said goodbye to both of us and left.

we turned down opening for them 2 yrs ago. what a shitshow. on stage he was talking shit about the other bands, saying he was going to call the cops on the band they were touring with because they had drugs in their bus. he is a fucking clown who wrote one song that got popular and still thinks he is gods gift to music. hard pass.
