my brother makes really good music. he is from chicago, teaches high school chemistry on the south side and gets paid to do shows all around the country. pretty awesome to have grown up with someone who actually has legit musical accomplishments lol. he used to play guitar, was super good at it and actually helped me get into a lot of the music i still dig to this day.

hey that IS really cool  it's more dance than techno but damn it's really good.

I would love to pick his brain about production etc... I'm learning as I go and it's tough sometimes.

yeah they call it juke or foot work i guess. he got signed to tek life. they did a set at pitchfork a while back and i think his last show was in portland but i could be wrong on that.

he has 4 kids now too and his best friend (DJ Rashad) passed away a while back, crazy how our lives are similar.

he started out just making tracks in this closet that he converted into his studio. INSANELY smart guy, really fun to hang out with.

i am sure he would be more than willing to chat and i would be happy to introduce you two if you wanted, he loves that stuff. it has been really cool hearing his stuff improve over the years.

I dug these. He's good.

I still have not yet committed to that level of volume and limiting. I should though, at least a little bit more. Modern production is very in your face. I've realized that I've approached "techno" with a late 20th century listening mindset.

Must update the bang.
