Knowing ticket prices at the Denny, no way this show will be worth the price of admission. Two pretty alright bands, one OK band and then an hour and some change of somebody strangling an already on the verge of death cat while cool music happens in the background?

Maybe my bud can get a freebie suite again? I'd drink through it on somebody else's dime. No way I'd pay full price.

Speak of the devil, before I hit submit he says Rage Against the Machine is coming to town this year too.

Devy, Haken and Contortionist in March up in Minnesota, a show I would want to see, but. . . Four hour drive each way with waiting in potential blizzard weather outside if you don't wanna be standing at the back of the room? Meh.

EDIT: Jesus Chrap, I'm starting to post like Pepi.

Megadeth is tuned down enough now where Dave in D standard (C#?) is tolerable vocally. It gets more than a little talk-y sounding. LoG's newest single was fairly boring. I have gotten to where I can't stand Randy on a multitude of levels. They will still be good live, I'd think though. I saw them years ago and they were on fire but that was back in As the Palaces Burn days. Trivium might be better than I would expect and In Flames was once awesome. Once.

Probably a good metal concert to pick if you can score some $50-$60 tix.

Technically the "Denny Sanford Premiere Center." Everybody 'round here just calls it the Denny.

Though I would consider going to see Megamave at an actual Denny's.

Most of the time general admission tickets to decentish shows end up around $100 or a bit more. Though the nostalgia bands tend to really slam that shit down. Prices on the floor are known to go as high as $300, sometimes more. Not sure how nostalgic Mave considers himself just yet.

Slayer's cheapest option was just shy of $100 after "convenience" fees. Fuck that shit. I'd spend $100 in merch (so, like, is that a t-shirt price now for a big act?), but not for the ticket.
