so my band FINALLY finished recording and producing our EP... it's going to be released on all the streaming platforms on December 13th but we uploaded the songs to youtube to give people a sneak peak so I figured I'd share it here

It's a mix of Caribbean music with Pop, rock and a touch of R&B for good measure

Excellent production, perfect mix and clever arrangements!!!
Really liked Jack & Jill and Sunshine.

That easily wins my highest award of five, individually whipped head banging smileys!!!

When ever I travel and see a band, I always buy their CD. I bet you guys will sell a lot at your shows! :thu:
When I went Barbados in the 90's I bought a cassette from a local band... I wore that cassette out! Wish they were selling CDs.

Thanks Ajax..... no plans to make any CDs.... honestly... not even sure if we will be doing any giggin' since this was a kinda project band just to see what we could come up with BUT who knows.. .we are due to have a meet up and discuss the future of the project, I suspect if the EP gets some traction we may keep it going for a bit again.

Thanks Mike... I'm happy with the blend as well.... what was best was none of it was forced... either someone worked or it didn't

Man, if I lived in Trindad, I'd be playing gigs at the hotels and tourist bars to pickup all the visiting girls.
In Greece, the local guys who hang around the beach hotels are called "ψαράδες δόρυ".... spear fishermen.

Sounds great Marc! What kinda gear did you use? Did you add to any of the vocal tracks?

Thanks Itchy.... I used my 20 watt bassman clone in to a 2x12 with a green back and V30 on all the tracks, not sure which speaker we mic'd to be honest... may have changed depending on the song... most of the guitar work was done my Firebird, though I did use my 1966 Mustang for the out of phase tremolo parts in Jack and Jill and there's some acoustic rhythm parts kinda buried in Jack and Jill which is my Breedlove... pedal wise Waiting Room was a combo of Fuzz Face in the chorus for the single line stuff and a EQD Monarch for the rhythm and lead parts I played, the shimmer delay was from a Boss DD-500.... I'm drawing a blank as to what exactly I used on the other tracks but I know I used a Catalinbread WIIO a lot on the recordings and definitely the Xotic SP compressor and EP Booster on some parts..... as for me and vocals, not even a thought went in to me putting vocals down lol All the back ups were done by the other guitarist who is a real boss when it comes to harmonies, he's massive Beatles fan and dissects that shit all day long
