Recording dudes - I need your help...

Post by Tortuga »

Trying to decide best way to set up my 'music room'. I have two guitar rigs (combo/head in one corner, 3/4 stack in the other) and a semi-permanent set of bookshelves in the room. I want to set up a recording / mixing desk in the same space - either under a window, or against a longer wall that is more out of the way. Originally, I was thinking it'd be a better 'balance' for mixing if I put the desk in front of the window, but it's winding up a pretty tight fit, being between two guitar rigs.

I created a 3-d view of the room to show how everything is currently set up, in hopes that someone can steer me right...

Please help... :idk:

<edit - added room dimensions to drawing>

Go to gearslutz. They have a section of the forum dedicated to designing rooms and their advice is awesome.

Then come back here and keep this forum alive.
