Did they arrest the person yet? What are they waiting for?

Has anyone ever heard about someone getting arrested for identity theft?

Also this is why I didn't make a Jr. When I was working in bad debt collections there were so many times that you'd call Sr. to collect a bill that Jr. racked up.
I was mentioning this to one of the guys at work and he said it's even worse in reverse. "The cops thought I was my dad once. Fucker has priors."

Latino male struggles. Thank God my dad didn't pull that shit. Plus I don't think I'd make a good Sergio.

My brother had someone arrested. FBI was involved.
Long story short, my brother received a call from a title agency about a house closing. Thing was, he wasn’t buying a house. Someone got his info and was buying a $900k house in his name. FBI got involved and they took over. The bank was notified of the scam, but sent over fake documents at the “closing”. FBI rushed in and caught the people. Evidently, after they buy the house in someone else name, they flip it cheaper with some sort of cash deal and either make off with the cash. Someone knew enough info about my brother for the bank to have no issues setting up the loan... my brother owns a bunch of properties already so no red flags went up when credit was pinged by a bank or underwriter. The only reason it was figured out is that the title company didn’t have the scammers correct phone number and the title company did a name search which yielded my brother number.

Wow! Really glad to hear that identity theft arrests have been made.
I guess we don't hear about them because, they aren't very news worthy.
