I'm pretty stoked for it though I was one of the few people who seemed to think TLJ was badass. :idk:

Rogue One is the best Star Wars.

This trailer looks dumb.
Solo sucked
The Last Jedi sucked.

Why would Palpatine laugh at the end? He fell down a hole. Are they just trying to reintroduce any of the actors who are still alive? Maybe, Luke will marry an Ewok and Jar Jar can be the best man. Young Annakin can be the ring bearer.

Loved TLJ minus the lull in the middle.

This trailer has me hyped.

I'm an easy lay when it comes to Star Wars.

Yeah the EU has so many Palpatine clones. Like vats and vats. He used the force to transfer his consciousness before he died.

I read a lot of EU back in the day.

Yeah but IIRC none of that is canon anymore?!?

TFA was alright but it was such a rehash of A New Hope. TLJ surprised the fuck out of me and subverted a bunch of shit I never thought they would do. EJ is right about the casino subplot - probably should have been reworked, but it didn't ruin the movie for me. My other complaint about TLJ was the lack of backstory on Snoke. I liked that Kylo killed him, but I would have liked to know a bit more about him.

One thing I really like is it doesn't seem like they're retconing TLJ.

Sure they probably aren't continuing the story in the same way that was planned but they're not bring snoke back, etc

Agreed. Seems like the only major retconning they may do is make Rey a Skywalker. That said, I'm kind of afraid they're going to pull a Return of The Jedi and have Rey save Kylo in the end.

What if the term Skywalker just becomes the new term for Jedi.

That would keep in spirit of TLJ with Luke being the actual last Jedi and Rey not being a blood skywalker

What if her and Kylo reconcile and form a grey Jedi order that call themselves Skywalkers? Rey and Kylo's child is the star of the next trilogy. I could probs dig that.

Just watched the trailer and it was more cringe. I thought the Force Awakens was an okay start, then Rian Johnson happened and since then.....I haven't cared. To me, seems like typical "Disney of the 2000's" Diversity, diversity, diversity, while the story suffers.

I really have no interest in this franchise anymore since they've taken over.

The series is good entertainment and I will be there to watch.

But this gimmick where Jedis fight everything with their light saber is getting a little played out. That scene where she makes a bunch of faces then runs around the desert and fights a spaceship by jumping at it.... come on. What's next, she takes down an entire star destroyer?
