Probably no Firebirds were ever even considered in the production of this band's music. I skimmed through a few more videos and I am sort of back at
The vid up top sounds like a heavier/modernized-ish Yes or or Rush (in their 80s years). Which is good by me. Still digging in a bit.

I made it to the 12 second mark. That's when I realized the bass player sings for nickelback.
