September in Reno RULES. It's like post rock guitar + Flaming Lips synth sounds. The drum programming is top notch. I might need to look into whatever he's using for drums.
I highly recommend you guys buy it.

what happened to him?
I knew he moved to Colorado - but I think only a handful of posts since then - and nothing I've seen recently.
Also - anyone have any info on dickarms (Youngblood)?
Last I heard from him he was starting to work with Ruiner - then nothing there either.
sorry to derail - was just thinking about these two earlier.

I think Ruiner got tired of us not responding to his modular posts. I know he put tons of work into that stuff, and did some videos. I kind of feel bad that it fell on deaf ears here, but I can't get into the whole modular synth thing. It's one step too far for me, gear/hobby wise.

I bought the cassette/download combo on Bandcamp.
I refuse to buy independent stuff on itunes, since it pays such a shitty commission.

Nice to hear he is doing something with his trove of gear. I always dug his out there synth vids. Off the beaten path but still a cool listen.

Thanks... Gerald Fijord... will download tonight.
https://geraldfjord.bandcamp.com/I hate truely hate iTunes. After Wozniak left and Jobs died, the Corporate Apple Goons blocked everyone, except record labels, from posting songs for sale. What a shame.

My stuff is on iTunes. But, it pays really shittily compared to direct downloads on CD Baby or Bandcamp.

Well, yes. You can get your songs on iTunes but, you have to go through Distrokid or, another service. (that's what I meant by "record label" oops!)
When iTunes first started, anyone could upload songs themselves.
There were a lot of issues though... people were uploading incorrect files and it was causing a lot of extra work, on the back end for the iTunes staff. Submission had to be checked for errors, rejected, resubmitted and rejected again.
After Jobs died, iTunes restricted access to people who had a minimum of 7 albums.
Then, they forced you to submit via a middleman, from a list provided by iTunes.
At least now, Distrokid (and others) make it cheap and easy to get on multiple vendor sites like iTunes and Spotify.

Same.
TBH I didn't even know it was a thing until GAB. I don't mind supporting though would buy album, just not my thing. I am pretty 1 dimensional.

Modular synths are fucking dope. Truly. The most organic electronic sounds can be had and it's the only thing I've ever been jealous of Ruiner for. Also I'm of the opinion that he is actually getting pretty good and skilled at using them too.
Failed white rapper turns log-cabin DJ. When one door closes another one opens.

Hey guys! I'm still around. Haven't logged in here for some time though. Guess I'm just busy with the new job. The only time I was on the forum was at my old job but this new job has me busy most of the time so just haven't been on.
Thanks for the support Gene! Glad you dig the album! September in Reno was one of my favorite tracks off that album too.
So, I put out that album, played live gigs... really into all of it. Getting back to mixing it all together though with modular synth, guitars, samples, etc.
Oh and I'm putting this album out on vinyl!!! I just got the test pressings in yesterday and going home to listen to it tonight. SUPER stoked. it's like 16 year old me's dream to have music on vinyl so I just said fuck it and did it! They'll be out within the next month.
Started work on my next album.... much less experimental (like half of my first album was).
This is the first single:

Nice. Definitely has a massive attack feel.
where did you get a chick to do singing for you? Or is it a sample?

The voice is a sample and so Is the cello. Both of them performed and sequenced within my eurorack system. All other sounds and effects are eurorack. Nothing done in the computer except to dump it down.
