Why Tom Morello, Why?

Post by Maddnotez »

I loved Rage and really liked Audioslave.

I also love certain rap artists and a lot of hard metal but I have no idea what this is and I am not feeling this. To me it comes off like my Dad is trying to be hip with today's music generation and failed horribly but hey. Go get it Tom.

1. That ovation he's playing is DOPE.

2. Morello has always sounded unique, which makes him awesome to me. I'd hear this and know it was him immediately.

3. The song is weak lyrically and vocally, but musically it sounds like late RATM, and I like that.

I am wondering where in the hell did he find this guy? I would be much more entertained if Takashi 69 was the lead singer for this. This guy to me, is like everything generic mainstream 10 years ago.

So I went down the rabbit hole and have come to light that this guy is not the official singer of this band I do not think. It appears as if there is no singer, there are a few songs uploaded and each one has different vocalists. He even did a song with K Flay.

I am not feeling this at all. He really should have just hired Chuck D. What happened to Prophets anyway?

Prophets was the Phantom Menace/Kingdom of the Crystal Skull of Morello. I deny its existence. Shit was awful.

Did you like Def Leppard's Slang? Or Motley Crue's Generation Swine? Jesus dude.

I wouldn't listen again, but for one spin I liked it. I love Prophets of Rage! Is that band over?

I certainly hope so.

Prophets sucking really just keeps the path to rap metal glory open for the true masters of the genre.

2:42 on was kind of ok. The rest seemed like a parody.

This dude is also rapping about some SJW bullshit with skills about on par with 311 so maybe we're both wrong.

You fuckers..
Prophets of Rage rules
311 rules and that cover is better than the original.
No wonder I don't like any of you

And I like that video in the OP. Good song.

This whole thread is really just veiled appreciation for how great Limp Bizkit is. Be honest with yourselves. All of this other stuff is weak in comparison.

311 has some solid, SOLID jams though.

Prophets of Rage has to be a troll job. Brilliant people making terrible music. For that I can applaud them.

If you don't have the latest Limp Bizkit available; grab the new Body Count. It's a little angrier but still kicks a$$ :rawk:

The wife and I saw Public Enemy probably five years ago? SO GOOD.
