First Body Build

Always wanted to do a from-scratch guitar build, and figured this half-from-scratch build would get me a little closer. The neck came from Warmoth as a tilt back paddle, and I tried to cut it out to look like a Blackmachine headstock (since I'll likely never afford or even play one) :D :D
While there are design changes I'd make the next time around, it came out surprisingly playable and good sounding. The body is just a cheap 3-piece basswood blank I got from a lumber supplier online.

Jeez Dude, that looks great! I know its not always easy to get things straight & perfectly playable. I like the look! Good luck with later builds.
Did you use a template?

Wow! Looks great!

It may be your first body build, but, it's clear you've got a lot of woodworking skills there.......

Many thanks!

I did use a template - sketched the design on paper, then moved to .75" MDF, then to 1" pine. Probably overkill, but I was afraid the router bearing would begin to bite into it and mess it up.

Hoping to do a more traditional drop-top style dual horn next...
