I just want you to know....

Before I became the Brolsinger,I had been running from what i truly was. After years of futile climbing toward outcast hipsterdom, it turns out I was happier slipping into Brodom. My life all started to make sense when I watched Jersey Shore and Fast and the Furious. I have Shore blood, FWIW. Half Atlantic City to be exact.
This has happened at least a few times in my life.
Wanted to be a fruity artster. Lived happily as a jock.
Wanted to be a loner musician college student. Thrived as a frat guy in the business school.
Wanted to be Morrissey. Played hair metal for 5 years.
Tried to be Morrissey again, became a chach that played hair metal.
I'm at another turning point. I was listening to dark weird shit that made me think of psychedelic drugs. It didn't make me happy.
Fast forward to yesterday.....As a joke, I bought AWOLNation - "Run". I would joke about "redbull" music, like that commercial "All of these things make me who I am."
Well, all of these things make me who I am. This album is fucking awesome. It's a mix of lofi, hifi, dubsteppy shit, toes dipped into Americana, etc. There is space where it needs to be. I felt like a million bucks cruising around jamming to this.
I'm going to start drinking more redbull. Probably get a dirt bike. Probably start vaping. Definitely getting some Vans for the warped tour. I was actually planning on getting a rice burner.

I had my midlife crisis early in 2010, bought a camaro, hung out with druggies at the strip club, bought a tele(!), listened to shinedown and watched Battlestar Galactica. Have fun, but don't take it too seriously and listen to what ever makes you happy.

Honestly, I can totally identify with this feeling. I've always been a shorts/T shirt or jeans/T shirt guy, but these days I feel equally comfortable wearing a suit n tie or looking like a golf pro at the local muni.
