New Dee Snider

Not sure if anyone has seen this yet. To sum it up this was an idea of Jamey Jasta with a bunch of modern hardcore/metal musicians and Dee as the frontman. Pretty badass, Twisted was badass back in the day. Stay Hungry may have been the first cassette tape I ever bought. Nothing groundbreaking but pretty awesome to me. Not bad for an old dude.

I actually was really looking forward to this. These first two songs have been semi-underwhelming to me. Not terrible by any means, but not as good as I was hoping for :idk: I'm going to keep my ears peeled for the rest of it nonetheless.

Yeah I want to like it as I LOVE Dee's voice but the lyrics on both these are terrible and not in the good way that you like. I also am not digging the Avenged Sevenfold backing whoa's on the second song. Production is great and the music is decent for sure but an the lyrics just suck.

I wish it would have gotten the Andy Sneap (or heck, even a Roy Z. treatment) instead of being guided by Jasta :idk: It sounds like a "modern" metal album trying to recreate the vibe of something more "classic" without really succeeding.

Yah the only thing Dee did was sing in the studio I guess. I posted links at the bottom of all the articles I could find. All the lyrics were written by Jasta with me being under the impression that Jasta was trying to write as if he was Dee Snider. :idk:

I think it is pretty badass either way. Nothing blowing me away but I do like it and it is cool to see Dee doing something again. He is much better than some of the other older guys who are still out there doing the thing.

Dee's voice is still great and he puts on a heck of a show still. Much love to him :rawk: I dig pretty much all of the TS stuff too, with the exception of a few tunes here and there.
