Here's how i rate the albums up until the eye.

Fatal portrait 10/10 great songs and production. I get very nostalgic listening to this album. Nobody was really doing this type of outside the box metal back in 1986.
Abigail 9/10 another great album with amazing songs and concept. Probably Andy's best guitar tone ever.
Them 10/10 conceptually, a masterpiece. Songs and playing are top notch, very memorable tracks.
Conspiracy 7/10 very underrated album. Songs aren't as strong but I think it has some great riffs. Sleepless njghts and lies are two of my favorite KD tracks.
The eye 6/10 I wish I could rate this higher but I never got into this record like maybe I should have. Father Picard is definitely in my top 10 all time KD tracks. I think the album suffers a bit from poor production, it sounds like there is a blanket on the master. No brilliance in the production.

Dressed in (Motherf**king) White is a masterpiece of a song. Soloing is pants pooping throughout.

Though to be fair, I've probably only ever listened to like 30 seconds of a couple songs

I agree with most of that. Maybe put Conspiracy up a notch. And I'm not sure id give any KD album a true 10. Maybe, 9.5. But definitely Fatal Portrait and Them are my top 2

Most, obviously, can't get into the vox, so I doubt posting trax might convince you otherwise. But this is was always a favorite of mine. And despite the total lack of low end in the production, you can tell that guitar tone actually did have some balls before it got lopped off in the mix..

Yeah Conspiracy was for me at LEAST an 8.5/10

I got into King when the vid for "Family Ghost" premiered on Headbangers Ball. I was instantly hooked! I was probably 13 or 14 at the time. I got into his back catalog and MF after that. Literally nothing from King I don't like.

I'm not a huge fan, but this one kicks ass!

Yeah, lots of times, even if I hate the voice, Ill listen if the music is great. But it IS impossible to ignore THAT voice!
Actually first time I think I heard anything by them, was off Metallicas Garage days, Mercyful Fate... I thought that was so cool that I went & looked up the real thing & so on. Still, I couldnt do it.
