The other guys in the band thinks these are awesome. I don’t. They are for promotional purposes.

Listening on my laptop, so take it with a grain of salt, but I feel like both tracks are missing some "punch". Also, I really don't like the guitar tone on Wicked Game, needs a shit ton more reverb, and less chorus. All that said, it sounds like there's a ton of potential, and a fun mix of instruments.
Girl singer sounds like the girl from 10k Maniacs - you should add a tune or two of theirs!

Also needs to be a Strat. The playing is solid though.
You have a Mark V right? If so, the clean and verb on that with a Strat (if you have one) would be perfect for that tune.

First, I have to say that these are the best clips you’ve posted of your band! Your band is improving and you deserve a congratulations!
Did the bass player mix these songs?
- Whistles the Wind – Bass is too loud and I can barely hear the guitar. During the chorus, the guitar should kick up louder and the drummer should hit harder to make it more dramatic.
- Wicked Game – If the bass were lower, the mix and song would be perfect. However, I do agree with Itchy, the guitar needs a larger verb with a longer decay.

Yeah, I have a mrak v and a strat, but it was probably my katana I used for ease of recording. The violin player is doing the mix. I’m gonna screen cap these comments and send them to the band. Thanks everyone for your feedback. Keep em coming good or bad
