Faxing is unfortunately still alive and well. And at a lot of fax destination numbers, not working half the time; so you have to troubleshoot their phone problems for your end user. Which is obviously good times.

We have to have a fax line. Investment companies are keeping the fax alive as well.

I'm trying out a mini soft modem tomorrow because our ink cartridges were just discontinued.

Just faxed 14 pages to Transamerica 5 minutes ago on our HP whatever $100 special.

When I used to install cable services, the fax machine became the bane of my existence. Phone in general, actually. I used to pour it on THICK when a customer told me they needed their fax connected. I'd start with "Why?" and usually they got a little taken aback by the surprise question. Then I'd go on to tell them how rarely they are to used, I'd have to relocate equipment that would make the wifi weaker in the house, and that either they move their fax to the room with the modem or it would be an $80 charge to run a phone line to it.

Most the time they complied. Others who were at the Dr.'s once a week needed it.

Fuck copper. Wireless for life.

I think we had that same HP. It was a little inkjet but took big cartridges. Thing was a workhorse. Replaced it with a big laserjet.

I was being audited today (sorta like a colonoscopy, but with more clothing) by an elderly gentleman here in Dublin and I asked the guy, "what the hell did anyone do for 10 hours a day before email was invented?" and he proceeded to tell me a stories of being away on a business trip or vacation and returning home to reams of faxed paperwork sitting on his desk. So, I'd say not much has changed, we just kill less trees nowadays...

But if I need money for drugs I can’t exactly rip the wireless out of my house and sell it for scrap...

Laughing at our current plebs is nice but laughing at any pleb that uses a fax is better. Get better. We can’t afford a hit to our ego.

I do business with the City of NY - those bastards mail contracts and fax proposals and memos.
Some of their departments are still on XP. :freak:

And a few older clients still fax..

I had a fax machine in our Cadillac and I made our assistants fetch documents and deliver them to the west wing of the Deville. It was pretty sweet and we made a great profit a couple years later when we sold it

Drive to work in Cadillac, greeted by women and a stack of faxes, neatly organized and ready for our perusal. This is poor people behavior? :snax:

But yes the Caddy is long gone sadly. Traded it in, did not get much money. Sometimes we wonder how cheap CT6's will be when they come off lease. But without Northstar V8 in them not much point. Hondas rule anyway. Excellent mileage and good resale value. Really the most sensible choice. Thinking of a second Pilot so the Boy Scouts will know we are strong alpha dads.
